🌈 An Incredible Experience at the Chi Heng Foundation Walk & Carnival for AIDS Orphans 🌈

WFO truly grateful to have been invited to participate in the Chi Heng Foundation Walk & Carnival for AIDS Orphans at Stanley Plaza. It was an extraordinary event that touched my heart and made a significant impact.

One of the highlights of the day was the booth games, which allowed the public to immerse themselves in the world of the hearing-impaired through sign language, experience the stunning visual art created by the visually impaired, and gain insights into the daily lives of wheelchair users. It was an eye-opening and transformative experience that promoted understanding and inclusivity.

The event commenced with a memorable kick-off ceremony, graced by the presence of the Secretary for Education, Dr. Choi Yuk Lin , and the incredible Volunteers. Together, we embarked on a 2-kilometer journey, pushing off-road wheelchairs and accompanying wheelchair users along the route. This symbolic act of solidarity and support left an indelible mark on my heart.

We was deeply honored to have the talented artist, Tam Yuk Ying, join us in pushing the off-road wheelchairs. Her presence and dedication were truly inspiring, reminding us of the power of unity and compassion.

We would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the visually impaired a cappella group, Unaccompanied Unison Ensemble, for their remarkable performance at the event. Their talent and resilience left everyone in awe and served as a testament to the strength of the human spirit.

We would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Chi Heng Foundation for organizing this impactful event and providing an opportunity to support AIDS orphans. Let us continue to foster a community that embraces diversity, kindness, and compassion.

🌟 Making a Difference Together! 🌟

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent food distribution initiative in collaboration with the incredible support of the IFC Lions Club and its members. Last night was a true testament to the power of unity and compassion as we came together to bring smiles and warmth to those in need.

🙏 With over 20-30 food distribution events held in the past two months, we have been able to provide nourishing meals to our homeless community. The support and generosity shown by the IFC Lions Club, who joined us on this mission, have been invaluable. Their members and families not only purchased dinner boxes, but they also actively participated in distributing them alongside our dedicated team.

🚶‍♀️ We embarked on a meaningful journey, walking together from Cheung Sha Wan to Tai Kok Tsui, distributing dinner boxes to the homeless. Additionally, we ensured that the remaining dinner boxes reached the elderly living alone in the community, including deaf and retired individuals and even university students who joined our cause.

🌍 These heartwarming efforts remind us that no act of kindness is too small. Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, spreading love, and fostering a sense of community.

我哋好興奮地同大家分享我哋最近同國金獅子會及佢哋嘅會員合作舉辦嘅食物派發活動嘅成功。 琴晚係對團結 一直努力嘅一個真實證明，我哋攜手為有需要嘅人帶來笑容同溫暖。

🙏喺過去兩個月，我哋舉辦咗20-30次嘅食物派發活動，為無家可歸嘅社群提供食物。國金獅子會留意到我哋嘅善行， 積極加入我哋。佢哋唔止買咗飯盒，仲同我哋嘅團隊一齊積極參與派發過程。

🚶‍♀️我哋展開咗一次有意義嘅旅程，義工團隊裏面包括聽障同退休嘅人同埋大學生。我哋由長沙灣行到大角咀，為無家可歸嘅人派發飯盒。同時，我哋亦確保餘下嘅飯盒送到獨居嘅長者手上。

🌍呢啲令人感動嘅努力提醒我哋，冇嘢係小嘅善舉。我哋攜手為有需要嘅人帶來正面嘅影響，傳播愛，並培育一個共融嘅社區。

Yesterday, the Wheel for Oneness volunteer team, in partnership with Island Paragliding Club and students of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, provided a remarkable experience for a sick child. We utilized the PHAB trail wheelchair to assist the child in ascending the mountain summit, and upon reaching the plain on the mountain, we employed paragliding to elevate the child into the sky. Our team comprises of individuals from various backgrounds including Rio Lam, our volunteer paragliding pilot, high school students, primary school students, athletes, housewives, and working adults, all dedicated to serving the community. The entire process was captured on film by a camera crew from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. We commenced at 10:00 am, concluding at 5:00 pm. In the evening, we continued our customary food distribution to the homeless population.

昨天，「極地同行」義工隊、筋斗雲滑翔傘俱樂部和來自香港演藝學院的學生合作，為一名患病兒童帶來了難忘的體驗。我們利用PHAB越野輪椅協助孩子攀登山頂，並在山上平原上與病童利用滑翔傘一起振臂高飛。我們的團隊由各行各業的人士組成，包括 Rio Lam 義務滑翔傘飛行員、高中生、小學生、運動員、家庭主婦和上班族，全心全意服務社區。整個過程由香港演藝學院的學生記錄下來。我們於上午10點集合，並在上午10點半起行，下午5點結束。晚上，我們繼續向無家可歸的人士派發食物。感謝您一如既往的支持，幫助我們對社區產生積極影響。

1）Starting from March, food distribution takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the homeless and sanitation workers. Within a short period, food has been distributed more than 20 times, benefiting a large number of people.

2）On April 4th, 2023, eight volunteers distributed 111 servings of food to the homeless in Sham Shui Po. On April 5th, 2023, parents took advantage of the public holiday to bring their children to join the food distribution volunteer activity, and together they distributed food to the homeless in Kwun Tong.

1）由3月開始每個星期一、三、五派食物 food distribution 給露宿者和清潔工人，在短短日子裏已經派發食物超過20次，受惠者眾。

2）在3/4/2023 有8位義工到深水埗派發了111份食物給露宿者。5/4/2023 家長趁着公眾假，帶子女加入派食物義工活動，一齊去了觀塘派發給露宿者。

Today, our team visited an elderly retirement center to promote our new social service - Wheel for Oneness. Our goal is to help disabled individuals access cemeteries with stairs by providing them with a special trail wheelchair. Not only did we bring gift sets filled with delicious food for the elderly residents, but we also conducted a questionnaire to gather data on the demand for our service.

The joy and happiness we saw in the eyes of the elderly residents were priceless. Our volunteers, ranging from a 7-year-old to teenagers and young adults, were thrilled to make a difference in their lives. We received so much positive feedback, and some even expressed interest in buying our trail wheelchair for personal use.

We want to encourage everyone to take advantage of our free service and to spread the word about our mission to provide accessible options for everyone. Join us in making a positive impact in the lives of others and help us promote inclusivity and unity. Thank you for your support!

今日， 極地同行到訪喺屯門一間老人院， 帶禮物送俾佢哋之餘， 也宣傳我哋嘅新社會服務 - 越野輪椅守孝服務。我哋嘅目標係幫助行動不便或殘疾人士使用極地同行的越野輪椅， 去攀爬有梯級嘅墳場。我哋唔止帶咗好多食物嘅禮品袋俾班老友記，仲進行咗問卷調查，收集有關服務需求嘅數據。

啲老友記嘅眼中充滿嘅歡樂同埋幸福係無價嘅。我哋嘅義工年齡由七歲嘅小朋友到10幾廿歲年輕人，都好樂意同班老友記溝通傾偈做朋友。我哋收到咗好多積極嘅反饋，有啲老友記仲表達想購買越野輪椅叫佢哋自己啲家人推佢哋周圍去。

我哋想鼓勵大家儘量使用我哋嘅免費服務，同埋幫手傳播我哋嘅使命，提供包容性同團結性嘅選擇。一齊為啲社會帶嚟正能量，幫助我哋促進社區嘅發展。多謝大家嘅支持！
